Whoever came up with the idea of putting a highway 98 bypass through a neighborhood that is filled with kids needs to get their head checked

The thurway will end on Panhandle Trail an already congested 2 lane road with morning and afternoon commutes. Taking traffic around congested 98 to congest 2 lane roads in a neighborhood is not well thought out. I live one road west of Panhandtrail. It is already a road that becomes congested in the morning and afternoon, making it hard to back out of my driveway. If there is wreck in the morning going East to Hurlburt Field the traffic backs up to the Navarre Post Office. Thus, the traffic will back up Panhandle and beyond.
On days I am in the office, turning left to get out of my neighborhood, (there is no stop sign) will be challenging. This is contingent on backing out of my driveway.
I am against the new road.

I live on Leisure and would hate to have people driving 50mph like they do on Pepper Street. They need to widen 98 now instead of tearing up my quiet neighborhood.

I think the bypass would do tremendously more harm than good and as argued by the petion creator seems pointlessly redundant.

Pushing citizens out of their homes is completely immoral. It's not more convenient if locals are deprived of their personal and private property.

This comes within a block or so of my house. I spend all my evenings outside in my yard listening to the birds sing. I absolutely don't want that replaced with road noise. This could ruin the best part of my day and what I enjoy most about my house.

Putting a major roadway through a neighborhood is ridiculous. We have enough problems with people hitting mailboxes as it is, and it would endanger children, pet, and people in general. As there are no sidewalks.

HBTS is a private community and Milton (SRC) should not have any authority to build a public roadway through it. What the hell is happening to Navarre, a bunch of idiots are ruining our community with car washes, storage facilities and apartments with zero increase in infrastructure.
