Enfield Council claims that parked cars displaced from the west side of Green Lanes could be accommodated in unused parking spaces in the five side roads. This is based on the average amount of parking on the west side of Green Lanes throughout the day and a guess at the amount of unused parking spaces in the side roads. An actual parking survey, carried out on behalf of the Green Lanes Business Association at the time of day when parking on the west side of Green Lanes is at a maximum, showed that 12 of the 16 cars parked there could not be accommodated in unused parking spaces in the side roads and would have therefore have nowhere to park in the area.

The surrounding LTNs are causing enough congestion without closing the bus lanes to vehicles throughout the day, too. This proposal also involves discrimination against those who are disabled who will lose access to much needed parking areas, and the insane requirement that shops have their delivery vans park in residential sideroads. This madness needs to stop, you are destroying this borough.

This is a ridiculous proposal with total disregard for the businesses and residents in the area, as well as through traffic. That stretch of road is already badly congested because of the LTNs. This proposal will increase pollution, congestion, and journey times; especially more so with the proposed closure of Brownlow Rd to through traffic.

Neither my husband or I can carry donations to the charity shops from the side street. Everybody is young to suffer if the council persists in this course of action

Another attack by Enfield council on its residents that they do not want. This council is so out of touch with its constituents so it’s days are numbered! But still it tries to do as much damage as possible before it’s booted out.

This change to bus lane hours is totally unnecessary and will be a highly detrimental to local businesses and shoppers. It will also increase traffic congestion along a road that is already too narrow. Please stop.

This is ridiculous, where are the delivery lorries supposed to park. The side roads are already jammed they are not wide enough for big lorries. This will affect all residents as well as the local shops. Give these shops a chance to survive.
Leave it as it is!
Absolute Nonsense.
