Shame on you Yooralla. Cutting transport costs to the most vulnerable people in our community so they will need to catch taxis to their day programs. Please explain how my niece who is wheelchair bound and needs constant 24 hr supervision is to do this. A taxi driver does not know her needs and heaven forbid if a medical emergency should arise while transporting her. Absolutely disgusting! Isn't this organisation supposed to help those in need? From one family to the Yooralla Families, I wish you all the strength you will need to fight this cruelty. One size does not fit all and consultation should always be the first task. Maybe with consultation, creatively and kindly a better solution with less pain to those who really don't need any extra, could have been brokered. It happened here too with closing respite houses. Good luck.

Transport cuts to Yooralla make no sense to me. People with special needs are people too and deserve to be treated as people with the ability to have some fun and share activities that they enjoy.

C'mon Yooralla, think about it. If the clients can't get there, there's no point in providing the service. This will be yet another reduction in service levels and therefore less reason for the community to support Yooralla - is that really what you want?

Fully support this petition. My daughter attends fern tree gully center and they have done it here as well. Shamefull.
