Businesses depend on the transportation that bring customers to these Brooklyn neighborhoods during the weekends. A five weekend disruption necessarily means a 5 week disruption to business.

What exactly is the problem with the L line? Why is it closed so often! The MTA needs to be more transparent about its closings and track work. The customers should be told what's going on

Postpone closure so small independent businesses have adequate time to recover economically from winter downturn in business.

It will be impossible for me to get to rehearsal on Saturday mornings and I always work late nights at a restaurant in manhattan.

I bartend in Williamsburg and live in Manhattan so usually take a car in but with my hours of closing then opening for brunch the next day it turns into a half hour two train ride to a possible hour of bus to LES, train then a shuttle that may be an hour or so, plus any customers I have that come in from Manhattan won't want to gk through the hassle. It'll hurt both me and the business itself.

I do not have a traditional 9-5, I live and work off the L.

Closure should be in August when cultural and other service industries virtually closed.

This will ruin businesses and the arts in all the vibrant neighborhoods along the L line. M and E sevices are terrible at night and on weekends as well so there are NO alternatives!

This is an impossible situation which would be a problem for many. Please find another way to deal with the work that needs doing.
