Something here just doesn't add up? How can it be in the interests if the local community to treat a long term business in this way if many local families are being faced with job losses because of it? This area is not suitable for student accommodation so should never be considered for this.

This seems so unfair for a good local business.

HNP provides an engineering excellence which is second to none and a type of service unique in Shetland.

Surely, the SIC can put an end to this farcical situation, or are they totally useless, as many suspect?

As a former fisherman, I know the value of HNP to the local economy.
This SLAP carry on is utterly disgraceful and the Slap Board members should hang their heads in shame.

This is not the way to treat a well established Shetland Engineering Firm.

HNP provides a long established engineering service especially to the fishing industry and should be allowed to stay on the present site. Student accommodation can be built elsewhere.

HNP has been there for years and has given invaluable service to the fishing industry and provided jobs within the local community. It's ridiculous to have the ground sold from under it by a company originally set up by our council.

It's tragic that a successful and established local business may fail because of this action.
