This decision has adverse affects for high performing (both academically and athletically) student athletes. Some of these students are international students who came to the United States for athletic purposes. The sports being eliminated have some of the highest team GPAs. These students can handle the demands of a student athlete's schedule and should continue to be funded. I believe the budget deficit should be made up for by reducing the budget for other teams, like football. Our football team is respectively less successful than some of the teams being cut. Additionally, football take up the bulk of the funding for frivolous perks like hotel rooms before home games and free pre and post game meals. This is ridculous. The football team could still function if their budget was cut. Only 2 million is being saved by cutting 4 teams. Why not just cut the huge budget for football? Oh, that's right, because people are obsessed with the football team even though it performs poorly andesigned recieves an unfair amount of funding. Fundraise or cut expenseshort for the football team to make up for it. Don't punish hard-working, high performing student athletes on the men's swimming/diving, men's soccer, baseball ans women's rowing team.

Men and woman's swimming team are really like one. They travel together and compete together, both cheer each on other. Please reconsider

People work their whole lives to be great at a sport and then they choose your school to go to. Instead of being able to continue their achievements you decide to drop their sport. That is a terrible thing to do.

Athleticism isn't about how much money your team brings in. It's about how much you can take before giving everything you've got.

Being a competitive swimmer for my club and school team along with playing soccer my entire life it saddens me to see a college program shutting down programs like these.
