This wouldn't happen if athletic departments would implement more efficient budgeting. Cutting programs without notice is unfair!

keep these sports programs going. Our granddaughter is in the rowing program & we find it unacceptable that you have cut this from your budget. everything is not football.
you discouarage students who have
worked so hard to achieve something that helps to shape who they are. find some money for them. don't break their bubble that they worked so hard to achieve

Do not throw away some of your best athletic teams to keep one that is far worse. So many individuals I know are directly affected by this decision and moving down to FCS or even cutting football would be a far better decision. The basketball team has potential and should be focused on. It will bring in plenty of name recognition. Swimming and soccer had amazing performances recently and rowing has a drug western New York tradition. This is simply unacceptable.

I've been affected by the cut at UND, so I feel for these guys. Best of luck to them.

Instead of cutting four teams, maybe cutting off unnecessary spending on certain teams would be a better way to budget.

As a former Physical Education teacher in Sachem and current Coach in Sayville, throughout my 40 years in Athletics I have seen the wonderful things -maturity, responsibility, friends, life time fitness, persinalconfidence sports have brought to all of our lives, please reconsider this sad move!

NCAA athletes are the best students! They are representatives of the school and their sport. We should be supporting them not putting more obstacles in their way.
