As a former MAC swimmer, I find it very disappointing that swim programs are even being considered. The greatest cost is the facility and that will be a wasted resource if a program is cancelled. Shameful what you are doing. Some of your best students participate in these sports. It's not all about basketball and football.

The beauty of sports is that you create a community that depend on each other for the pure love of the game. The football team should be supporting the other sports teams that are on UB's campus because they should know what it is like win and lose as a team. Share the school fundings with all the sports team equally.

Complete disgrace what Buffalo is doing to these athletes. They should be ashamed. I'm sure the president has not taken a pay cut to help the money situation.

The baseball team hs had so many kids drafted in the past years and has a few guys who are currently playing in the MLB. They deserve to continue to play.

It's not fair to other students that received a scholarship for a certain sport to go to a school and not be able to play that desired sport

As the age group coach of UB's Wings Diving Club, I am sadden by this announcement. UB has the best diving facility from Buffalo to Maine. We train kids of all ages. Now boys from WNY will never have the opportunity to represent UB in their college careers. I pray the administration can come to their senses and reverse this decision. There are options; they may not be easy, but nothing worthwhile is.

Sports, like the arts, are an integral part of the education system and school spirit and morale of a university. Without them student engagement lacks, enrollment lacks, and community involvement lacks.

As a UB Alumni I am embarrassed that the school is making such an uninformed and unilateral decision.
