Why is D-Twp competing with YMCA, Doylestown Tennis Club, Planet Fitness and Cornerstone Fitness. Total misuse of tax dollars! Look at our potholed roads!

A $12 mil rec center is not needed and too costly for residents.

Attended zoom meeting about this during Covid and reading the comments in the chat most people thought it was too much. The claim by the township was that it has been in the plans since the nineties. That is very typical of the usual push. Next thing I knew I was reading about it in the mews letter like it was a done deal. All of the gyms were hurting during Covid…. Why would the townships be any more lucrative? Between Cornerstone and the Y we seem to be well served. Too expensive and not necessary now.
Taxes are already way too high.

We absolutely do not need this rec center. I do not want my taxes to pay for it. Taxes are already too high for long time residents who are now senior citizens on fixed incomes.

This is roughly the annual revenue of the township. If you divide by number of households, it is about $2k per household.

I oppose the building of a new very costly recreational facility in Doylestown.

The township should worry about fixing our roads before they spend 12 million plus on a rec center!!!

There are plenty of wonderful places to recreate in the township and throughout the county. We do mot need another facility. If people want gyms or other venues let them support the local businesses that provide that service and make oue community thrive.

Stop this wasteful project. Better use for taxpayer dollars than a redundant re center

We already have the everexpanding YMCA and lots of parks and walking trails. Let's keep it green. I don't want the township to take on all this new debt plus all the new maintenance, insurance costs, etc. I don't think many people will use the building and structures enough to justify such high building and ongoing costs. Don't want the increase in my tax bill for a duplication of facilities.
