This is the most ridiculous scam I have seen yet, trying to rob the Oconee tax payers out of more money. Our elderly on fixed incomes love their pets and their pets are life companions for many. What are you trying to do make them choose between their pet or if they eat every day. Because $10.00 or $50.00 may not seem like a lot to you that live off of County Pay paid to you by the County tax payers but to someone living off of SS or SSI it may hurt them tremendously. I hope if you are an elected person and are the airhead that came up with this brain void that the good people of Oconee county vote you right back out. Yes it goes without saying I am totally against the tax on pets.
Taxation is theft. Stop the war on poor citizens who love their dogs.

We taxed to the max as it is! All Our government officials want to do is to keep all it's citizens in poverty. Some people think 15 bucks a hour is good money and I would agree if we weren't taxed so much. It's bad enough that we pay taxes on things we buy when our paychecks have already been taxed!!!

If Oconee County would be more responsible with our money that they already get, they wouldn't have to worry about begging for more money by taxing everything else,
