Ashley, my thoughts exactly. Why should people that own dogs, have had them altered and give them good homes, be penalized?? I said the same thing, there will be more dogs being euthanized because people won't be able to afford it! You think they can put all of us in jail? This is just plain stupid!

This is just another way of taking peoples hard earned dollar. If you need money that bad cut back on padding pockets in the county.

Im so afraid that if this is passed, it will make it to where many pet owners can't afford their pets so a lot of pets will end up abandoned or in shelters. There are so many responsible pet owners that this will be hurting.

I oppose this tax because this will make the county escalate efforts to take money on all animals..we nwws to demand a breakdown on what is spent now with tax dollars..not just an overview but a complete break down..

I don't feel that this is right. We are the ones who take care of our animals and this takes away of our rights. I keep my dog vaccinated and he isn't on the loose. He is a house dog. This is cruel and will increase animals in shelters. This is a disaster waiting to happen.

I think it is wrong on all counts we already pay all kinds of fees for our pets why should we have to pay a tax for owning a pet

There needs to be more focus on catching the strays and helping people get their animals fixed. There's only 3 dog ytraps available from what I was told and when you need them they take forever at the animal control office. Why not work a deal with a/some vets to offer free neuter or spaying maybe twice a year and take donations or have fund raisers to help eleviate the cost? Obviously if they cannot afford to fix the animal they can't afford the fine. Good people are going to be punished for being an animal lover and bad people are going to dump their animals.. This is a disaster waiting to happen in my opinion.

This will increase the number of dogs in shelters who will be euthanized. This is STUPID STUPID STUPID!!!!!!!

This is total stupidity. This would cause a very high increase in the number of animals that would be turned into the animal shelter resulting in a higher number to be MURDERED

This is ridiculous and would only penalize responsible dog owners who are not the problem in the first place! The ones who don't care enough to take care of their animals are surely not going to pay a fee for not doing it. Also this would mean another (at least one) salaried government employee tasked with finding and ticketing offenders. This is from a county that can't even ensure our children are safe and not abused because of lack of employees in relation to the complaint ratio.

Not fair to those that have multiple dogs. And why are you singling only dogs?
