St. Anthony's Catholic Church --in Harlingen Texas was built in 1940 and has not only been an important spiritual symbol to Catholics since back in the day but its also a very important Historical Architectural design as it,was modeled after a Corolingian Monastery Church of St. Gall from the early 800's... Whether you were a Catholic in Harlingen or not this Church has been a fixture to all of us that have lived here and it would be a shame and a waste if the demolition goes through ... From baptisms, weddings, and funerals this beautiful Church represents so much history and so many memories to all of us in this small town .. This Church deserves to be saved and preserved and,we insist that the Diocese of Brownsville reconsider.
