Dear Fellow DCWA Members,

In the last month we have witnessed an unprecedented amount of text messages and emails sent to us, by senior DCWA members, which we have not subscribed to in any legal way.

Further more, these emails have violated our privacy, by not adhering to the undisclosed recipient policy, which in turn has made our private details available publicly.

Please add your name to this petition, so that we can put an end to this tactless behaviour without wasting any more of our precious time.

Thanking you.
Sincerely,
Naasha Mehta

I spent the entire morning scrolling through the feedback and honestly the level of frustration everyone feels about this constant spamming is just overwhelming. My phone has been vibrating non stop with messages from people who feel just as exposed as I do because of those privacy leaks. I am currently trying to get a straight answer out of the board about their email protocols but so far the silence is just unbelievable.

Thank you for this initiative. I was also fed up of these emails. A related but serious issue is about how these people got access to our email addresses? If from someone in the club, we need to know the name because this is total invasion of privacy - I had provided my email address in confidence and NOT for such free distribution!!

Eloquently written and completely agree with you. My version of this would have been far more terse, which was why I refrained.

I agree. Those who have views about happenings in the Club, should have the courage to express them In AGMs.

Hi Everybody. Thanks for responding to this. I understand there might be some people in the DCWA office unaware of privacy rules regarding Private details, like phone numbers and email addresses, being shared with third parties. It is illegal and absolutely unethical. Keeping that in mind I would just like to prevent this from continuing and taking on any form that taints defence colony club and it's members. The Club is a recreational facility and must stay one. It is not the government, so this political drama seems unnecessary. We all have busy lives and enough on our plate, without having to deal with empty vessels slandering each other. Let's Stop all the noise. Let's keep things relevant. And if somebody has the will, time and drive to start a facebook page to keep things more transparent - Go for it! Thanks for voicing your opinions and lets make sure this doesn't happen again. Best, Naasha
