Almost all of you reading this probably own a dog, or have had one at some point in your life. More than half of you probably owned a German Shepherd. Let's say you adopted that German Shepherd only 68 hours after it was put up for adoption in Cumberland County, NC, took it home, and would now do anything for it. Well good thing you weren't four hours ahead of time or you would have been too late and he/she would have been put down. By signing this petition you are saving hundreds and maybe thousands of dogs, such as Dobermans, Rottweilers, Chow Chows, Pitbulls, Huskies, Great Danes, Mastiffs, and Akitas, along with German Shepherds. If these breeds are not adopted within 72 hours, they are innocently killed for NO reason! That's not even the worst of it; if the dog is an owner turn-in, it is brought back and killed immediately, without ANY chance of finding a better home. PLEASE take the time to read and sign this, in hopes that you'll pass it along to people you know, to raise awareness of this horrible act so we can put an end to it!
