As a childcare operator and RECE it is so frustrating when my teachers send in their renewal in time and wait so long for it to be processed. With 50,000 members paying 150 per year perhaps they should have more people processing the renewals in a timely fashion?

I work in the TDSB where we receive numerous in service training opportunities. The CPL is unnecessary

Participate in professional development already & now being forced to do this CPL on my own time when we are not paid nearly enough for our extra time already. This is the college of ECEs trying to justify the the work that WE do.

Long over due... we pay $150 a year to keep our RECE... pay more then teachers and half the pay, something wrong wittthis picture. We work just as hard as teachers do

I dont usually complain, but we need to do more work for the same pay (pretty much minimum wage)? That's BS! When will anyone's wage go up to reflect the minimum wage hike?

I see the COL as a double edged sword in that you want to know the qualifications we have but at the expense of our time which is already pushed to limits at times

We have enough to do already!

I participate in workshops, read articles, and complete webinars when I can, on top of all the documentation and daily requirements we RECE’s must complete. This should not be mandatory.

Ridiculous, time consuming, and frustrating! Enough is enough already!

I already attend mandatory trainings through my workplace and now have to make time for this?! Make this a career worth being in. There is no respect for the work we do now...

If other governing bodies don't make our partners as teachers do it why should we? We can't afford to pay for PD let alone the time.

Development, however, is personal and can be only stimulated by, but not forced through, outside agents (Clark, 1992; McLaughlin,

I have been in the childcare field for over 20 years and have been in ECE since 1997. We are overworked and underpaid! Paying the $150 for us to do more work is just bullsh!t Sorry but it is the truth.

This is more work and we are putting extra hours outside the workplace already plus the CPL. So this is one of the reasons why I don't agree with the CPL.

We are overworked and underpaid, we have families to look after, we are hardwork and dedicate to our students future. We do as much or more that some the teachers, get little or not recognition for our work. Our position is not value, they call us "partners" however our salaries don't reflect this... We pay $150 a year to be called RECE’s to work in the field. Now they want us do all this EXTRA work and get NOTHING back. Not fair!

We don't have the time to do this outside of work. My employer provides PD that is applicable to my position.

This cpl program is too much to do when we are already working fulltime and doing profession development at my workplace
