Simply no more membership fees as some people are struggling to pay this every year, and also CPL I worked two jobs and don't have time and refused to used my personal time to do things for work since we don't get pay enough.

Cancel the CPL Program! I do PD through my employer who encourages me to take my thinking to a whole new level. Also, why raise our membership fees? This is ridiculous!

My employer already has set standards that include Pd goals and standards that RECEs must comply with throughout the year. This is a duplication of the work they are already doing

We should not be paying for a membership that protects the public. Isn't that the government's job? Shouldn't this be funded by the public not RECEs who work hard at their underpaid job, who have enough demands by their own employers and also work long (sometimes unpaid) hours? CPl program on top of this is ridiculous! We love professional development , it's for our benefit but not yours! You do not get to see what we have learned and discovered for free! Put an end to this madness!

As a Dece we already do so much and to add one more thing to do on our plate is insane . The teachers don’t have to do all this and they pay a lot less membership fee

I have absolutely no time for the CPL portfolio. Working 2 jobs and having 2 small children this is just adding more stress in my life !!!

CPL is adding to our already busy role. It’s asking for us to use personal time outside of work and my personal life outside of work comes first. I give 100% at my job and do PD through my employer and other opportunities that arise in my community.
Please reconsider the whole idea.

Waste of time.. Nobody needs to be micromanaged in their profession. We are not students to follow the deadlines. Wrong role the college took. Such a waste of money.

Yes very true... I don’t mind professional development but after paying 150$ I don’t think we should be forced to do something which is time consuming as anyways after long hours of work there to is no time left for us.

Costs are rising but why would they want to rise our hourly wage or even consider making us salary? Let’s pile on more paperwork on unpaid time! We have busy days at work, and come home to a busy life! This is ridiculous!

This is way too much work for someone who has a regular job and paying bills. This CPL is adding stress into my life and making me burb out. Life was so much better without this portfolio.

I’m all for professional development, and continue to participate in pd, however the time put into to CPL portfolio and the rate of membership fee doesn’t reflect fairly to ECE pay and work load.

We do not make enough money in this field for what we do each day fir the children and the families we serve. Companies are asking more and more of us all the time and there is not enough time in a day for extra on top of what we have. Not to mention many things that go on in many centres that do not put the needs of the child first, or the needs of the staff, half the staff don’t even have their RECE and are doing the same job as me at similar or same wage, instead of us doing extra work to have and keep our RECE status, the College should be going around making sure Centres and Companies are running properly and start supporting us RECE’s that are running on burnout!! Please remove the CPL and Please DO NOT raise the price for us to do our job. If not, I myself will be considering leaving the field after 23 years of passion for the children and this field I’ve believed in all of my life.
