Agreed. complete waste of time doing the CPL there are other things we can do ie. workshops offered by them. Offer me some things for the money I’m paying that will allow me to be a better educator.

It baffles me that our hourly pay is just a few dollars up from the minimum wage on average, when our work is holistically strenuous. This, and that we do not have the same benefits as with those who work in the school board. In regards to professional development, I'm all for it but I believe that attending workshops is more than enough. When we face struggles and obstacles in a day of work, we are constantly reflecting on our practices and strategies as an ECE. I know that for myself, I find ways to improve in light of those experiences. But the expectation of completing the CPL truly does add more stress.

We have no time to write CPL. We are busy with planning and writing out daily documentation. Instead of spending our time writing the CPL, we could learn more from workshops that should be organized by the college of ECE.

I am struggling with finding time to comply CPL requirement even though my child grown up now. I can’t imagine ECEs has small children at home. How could they keep it up do all the readings, planning goals and attending work shops.
