Not against PD. But the gravity of the paper work and time involved. Also would like to see audit of CECE expenses! Re-locate the office space to less expensive location. Etc. Lower our fees

We are working full time, no time to do the CPL and also stressful. We already did the goals and how the meet the goals during our placement at school. So I don't think we need it now as specially we have no time allocated for doing it.

I work so hard as an early childhood and low wages and not treated with respect and not recognized as a professional in the work force and no benefits at work and people and parents saying that we are babysitters are job is so.important and we are the early years in children' life but we will never be recognized as a professional or at the same level as an oct teacher too.

Not useful at all, take time away from my whole family.

completing this CPL has added extra stress on top of my current busy work life. There is already a lot of work added from quality assurance to maintain a healthy and inclusive environment at work. I am actively adding workshop to keep with new information on how learning happens and methods I can use in my classroom to maintain a healthy, inclusive, teachable and safe learning environment.

The CPL is a waste of time.

People live busy lives outside of our work places and some can’t afford or don’t have the time to start/complete a CPL. If that’s the case, it’ll drive people away from wanting to be an RECE although they love the children and the job. We are already continuing to learn through the children and not for a book and pages.

we are all under pressure with the lack of qualified staff and not just within my area. we do 2 documentations per week on our interest, daily journals, sleep checks, health checks, volunteering etc. I enjoy going to workshops and networking, however I find some colleagues are going because they HAVE to, not because they want to. I lost all my information on my computer recently. How do I prove that I read or participated on anything on line. This whole process is stressful and should be abolished

I currently work for the school board and constantly do professional training. Our admins are not allowing time for your cpl. It is now someone that is required on our own time.

I think it is outrageous the price of renewal each year! Also, the CPL is ridiculous if they don’t plan on paying us what we truly deserve. It’s sad what an ece makes compared to a teacher when most of us have the same amount of schooling. A single person cannot live solely on an ece salary. Most of us have two or three jobs!

I am not against professional development, but this cpl is just extra paperwork while we already doing so much extra for very little money , what else do you want from us?

I agree, no one is against professional development. However time continues to be a factor as no time but personal time is offered for such development. Focus should be placed on class size, pay equity and planning time.
