Revisit the requirements of the CPL program

Our job is already too stressful, please don’t overburden us!

I agree CPL adds more stress and unnecessary work

I think it should be done just once. Not repeated every two yrs.

This needs to end. Burn out rates are insane. I've never been so stressed out during this job in my life and I've only been doing it 10 years. Now this added cpl is just more stuff to do. They need to find a better way.

I feel like the CPL could be changed to be more positive. For example: send us a learning through play experience you have shared with your kids or pictures of your work with kids and what inspires you. Since we have an array of learners, we should not be expected to all turn in the same format of how we show our journey as an ECE. We are all diverse leaners and educators, therefore sharing our individual experiences should be an opportunity for our work to shine.

I love doing extra workshops to stay current but the cpl is too much

I agree with all the comments I think we should re-visit this cpl and also think the fee is way too much and we do not get much for money and there’s not much support from this organization

My biggest concern is the increase in fees. Teachers pay less for their renewals and make two or three times the wage RECEs have. The members in our field have low wages and are feeling the stress of increased fees, low wages and now increased workload of the CPL. please consider simplifying the CPL and returning to the original $150 fee.

I love PD...I pay for my own and I do it regularly...I'm a grown adult and don't need monitoring.

I have two young children. I love the idea of ongoing education. I find the paper work lengthy. Can we not just submit the certificates we receive as proof of ongoing development instead of writing goals etc?

Frustrated with this process. Very busy job . On going training . Shame we / employers are not trusted to do professional training in the areas we are interested. This CPL requirement makes me frustrated and makes me not want to further my education. Pity

I do a lot of professional development, always have and always will but requiring the paperwork details is insulting and time consuming. Qualified teachers get pay increases for doing AQ courses, Ive had the same pay for the last 7 years regardless of all my professional development. Asking us to do more than a teacher is more about us having to prove we are worthy. It's degrading! Why is the bar for us to prove we are worthy of being a registered Early Childhood educator so much higher than other people in education?
