Revisit the CPL requirements. Makes many ECEs not want to become registered or many want to leave the field because of it!

I have such a hard time and struggle to find time to keep on top of the CPL . Please consider reducing this to just show proof of at least 1 professional development price per year

The current CLP is unfair. The requirements are overwhelming and are not needed to uplift professional standards. Too expensive.

I've NEVER understood why I was paying so much and what I was paying for? Our pay is not reflecting the inflation.

online modules created by the college to be completed by members yearly would be a better direction in my opinion. The CPL is poorly designed for the current lifestyles of many RECEs. And it should be modules attempted with proven participation BUT memberships should NOT be suspended based on the success of rather than the participation.

Takes way too much time. Teachers don’t need to do this!!

As mentioned in petition, there are no standardized wages for this profession. It’s not a living wage. I am a single mom with one income. I shouldn’t have to struggle to make a living, I am a professional and I work hard! The annual membership fee is too much, for what? We don’t get any benefits with it, just more work (CPL). Why don’t we get discounts to claim, or perks?? What can we show for this membership besides empty pockets and more stress!

I do regular PD whenever I can. The demand for the paperwork is too much. Our jobs are busy enough.

Absolutely! Also anyone who works for the school board has to do Professional learning plans based on the boards directives which can differ from the CPL so double the work and split focus

I am not against professional development, but CPL adds extra stress and paperwork when my work already has such high burnout rates.

It’s very stressful when we have no extra time because of a heavy work day. Half of my class need extra help to keep up with challenges and behaviour development.

So focused on completing the cpl on my own time, rather than focusing on creating new ideas for the children on my own time. Both is to stressful

I am on the verge of both mental and emotional breakdowns because of the added stress. My center doesn't even have enough staff to cover days off and now we are being told if we book the same time off as other staff, we may not get that time off although we have earned it

I agree with continuous professional learning. Infact I love taking courses and watching Webinars. However I believe that there needs to be a new/different system to ensure RECEs are keeping up with professional development.

CPL is very stressful during these difficult times.

Please no more CPL from now on. Pandemic or not, it causes an unbelievable amount of stress. Please consider rethinking CPL.

We have to much to do with absolutely no prep time and low pay. Adding cpl on top of creating a program on you own, unpaid time, can be defeating....and will often take second place to what actually needs to be done for the children on a day to day basis.

Way to much money to spend yearly and the CPL is added work on us for a job that is already busy enough, with take home work already. We do not need added stress and jobs to do. We work too hard for too little already.
