Doing CPL is a constant pressure on top of our jobs. We can do Professional development courses to keep ourselves updated but this mandatory CPL is getting too much. Teachers don’t have to do anything unless they want to. They are paid more and no mandatory yearly things to do. We are paid less and have more work and mandatory CPL is very stressful.

Instead of this I would gladly take professional development courses. We shouldn’t be able to have our memberships revoked when we earned our diplomas to work in our field

The wage we work for is not good enough for the requirements from us.. the college could give us mandatory free courses instead such homework. We should not be spend own family time to fulfill the requirements of the college.. it is also economically burden on our shoulders plus with the annual fee...our college is not even half way to support us... it could do better

I feel as though we are continuously learning and growing, without needing to do the CPL.

We love what we do but making our work load heavier is not ok.

Total waste of time. ECE’s do not get the pay we deserve and we have to pay so much money. ... crazy!

Professional Development is so important, but adding to the stress of overworked and underpaid RECEs is ridiculous. Help us out!

It is very unfair the amount of pay we get for the amount of work we actually have to do. This CPL take so much time away from my 4 busy boys and that isnt fair to them ar all

I agree with this if we pay our fees to have good standings and most locations that you work at send you or have you do work shops and are continuing to learn as you work in the field through the children.

We make very little money. Our jobs don't pay for our fees. CPL updates are done at night without getting paid. Other professionals making more money are not requested to do after work hours. RECEs working in the school board do CPL training on PDD getting paid plus work hours. This is Discrimination!
It is so hard to complete this. I have had 3 surgeries in the ladt 2 years...And with Covid as well...how am I suppose to complete this?

CPL is just another item on the to do list. Are we benefiting from it no. Some of us are out of work, or barely hanging on, burnout is real. Non ECE have nothing like CPL but get paid the same.

Every day we topped with lots of work to full fill our job demand. We are learning every day. This cpl does not make any sense.

We have a crap wage and pay nearly as much as teachers for yearly fees and make less then half. Plus we have to do extra work to keep active. Why penalize the lowest & hardest workers even more!!!??
