Revisit the requirements of the CPL program

I feel the same, I am doing a lot of workshop from the school, and I feel the paper work for the college is extremely stressful, it has to be a better way

I’m all for professional development. I’ve always done it, actively search it out and where I work requires it. However the whole process of keeping a cold, the specific format, all the additional writing etc. Is too much when I’m already at my workplace for 9 hours each day without any program/planning time, plus my commute....there’s no other time to do it.

We have to do everythung anything nonstop asking us more and more and more but we get paid like minimum no sick days no benefit nothing and noone gives us any rights anyyyy I am sick of it and i quit the daycare jon its dishusting after working 16 yrs i went backward instead of not even forward just stay where i was lots of steess we get at daycares not even worth a penny .

Professional Development is needed to keep any professional up to date, current and motivated. Trusting your ECE to complete a required hours and implement what they have learnt into their program should be enough. We work had as. Need to feel supported not have extra paperwork added to our field.

I agree - we have a lot on our plates right now and this is not the time to add more work.

I’ve been off work for almost 5 years and I’m totally lost with it doesn’t what you see us do prove to you we are up to date?

Way to much expected paperwork.

I would like to see a revision. I think life long learning and reflection is important but there needs to be a more functional way to do it

It is so true what they say. It is time consuming and time is not available we do have our families and a life. We work our hours that are filled with lots of hard work for the children and the staff we work for. We don’t have enormous hours to finish half the stuff we want to do with the children but we try and manage it by sometimes working on our own time. Working on the CPL takes more of our time away from our families and the work we want to do with our job at hand. I don’t see what doing all the work for the CPL will help with the work I am doing for the children and staff I work for.

I work for a licensed home childcare agency, the format of the CPL requirements often feel, to me, that it is very centre based in focus. I agree with all of the statements in this petition.

I don't believe that the CPL helps me in any way whatsoever! I always work to better my self professionally and do not need countless amounts of paperwork to prove that!

Major changes need to be done to it!!

Most centers already have requirements for professional development so we so not need the added stress of doing the CPL. This job is stressful enough without it!!!

We are asking to cancel CPL. It doesn’t not reflect our skills and experience in the field and it takes time from professional development and family. We are also evaluated at work.

Please keep it fair and wait for the right judgment.

25+ years in this field....I do not need to prove that I am dedicated to my field
