I 100% agree we should be accountable for professional development and keep track of it in a CPL however it should be date, course and a brief overall comment of what was learned and the benefits. But all the questions and documenting is crazy. We have very busy jobs that are physically and mentally demanding and many have families that can be equally demanding. The pressure of the CPL is unnecessary.

I am also agree with this. Anyway we are keeping ourselves up to date as per our employment requirement. We are attending proffesional workshops and training and onto of that too much paper work.

The college is not there to support us, just cost us money and more work. I can and have been doing professional development without them for over 30 years. Not one person I have spoke to outside our field has heard of the college or do they care.

The CPL does not prove what kind of worker I am. I participate regularly in on going learning through work, have performance reviews and collaborate regularly with my colleagues. It’s called professionalism. It’s too much. I’m a full time working mom and I have to plan and prep for work daily as well as document and still some how makes meals, clean my house and be a mom and a wife. Too much!

No more CPL’s. We are over worked and under paid already. How about fighting for Universal Childcare, liveable wages for ECEs, mandatory sick days, less split shifts for school age staff.

CPL should not be forced. Employers should offer training during work hours.

I love learning and keeping up with the educational system especially the kindergarten program. The 3 goals is where things go astray for me. It be better if we could even pick 3 webinars or training that we did throughout the year and explain how it helped us in our career relating to children and what else we learned.

The Ece field is primarily a female dominated field with some educators barely making minimum wage. Many educators need to have a second job just to make ends meet. The added stress of the cpl is causing educator burn out and increased mental health issues.

I don’t have the time or energy at the end of the day to work on CPL, I barely have time for planning and prepping my program every week. I need my weekends off for my mental health and to recharge for the next week. CPL is adding so much more stress in an already stressful field.

I agree, I work for a School Board and have continuous training. Tracking it and having paperwork prepared for audit adds a lot more stress.

I LOVE doing professional development and taking many courses that interest me but doing cpl makes it more stressful. For different classrooms at different times there are so many goals.

We can all better ourselves if we want. We do not need this mandatory self improvement. Love my job and want to concentrate on improving me.

All for further education and professional development. However, the amount of written reflection is crazy. We pay more, do more and get paid less then others educators with whom some of us work with.

Although I respect the idea of the CPL holding us accountable for professional development and reflection, as a designated E.C.E I am already constantly developing professionally. This is not that realistic for me without taking away personal time. I simply do not get paid enough I won't lie;)

I agree with the issue brought up in the original petition. I believe there are issue regarding the requirements of CPL that need to be reviewed
