Stop this Nonsense CPL, what the College did for us during the Covid 19 pandemic? Absolubly NOTHING! Many of us went into the Covid !9 sickness and also loss of family member and the College don't even have any heart for us. They just want to get the money for the year renewal. I wonder where is that money goes too! does it goes to their staff pay salary raise?? This CPL is adding more stress to our life and family. We pay them to make more work for us! We work 8-9 hours a day during this pandemic, we get home continued with our house chores, them go to sleep and the next day continue our work journey and so on, on the weekend continue with our families and no time at all to do no CPL work! Please STOP!

Membership fee is unacceptably high and the college of ECE has never done anything on behalf of our RECE’s benefits. The CPL program is totally worthless as the College has never arranged any official training programs while throwing the ball at us and putting the blame on us for not following it.

Last year I was laid up for 6 months and had to finish this. All my PLC was at work. I couldn’t drive. It was so stressful. And I was told all I had to do was get a doctor to sign something. I don’t feel my medical issues is anyones business. I pay too much money for what I’m getting what is extra work! I think paid my money when I had to go to college.

cpl is too much for ece's. over work and under paid and its so hard to find time for your family and yourself, plus have to find time for cpl. too much!!!

I work full time at a school. When I get home, I finish my documentation, print photos for my class , get things ready for the next day, not to mention help with report cards and everything else. I have less and less time for my mental health and family time. I don’t feel the CPL is an effective way to show professional development. Hey. Why not offer courses/ workshops relevant to the field. That would be money well spent.

I continue to upgrade my professional development. Finding the time to keep up with the CPL is challenging and stressful. For all ECEs do we are not recognized. A easier more simple system would be appreciated

It’s time for a change! I feel the college should be providing all the resources we need to complete our CPL’s and for this process to be less work! We’re always doing professional development, but how they expect us to document it, is extremely time consuming!

What exactly is the college doing to help give us acknowledgment. We’re weren’t even a consideration in the Ministry of Educations COVID resources. After this year I feel like a zero on the scale of importance in our society.

The CPL adds huge stress and work load every year. Time taken away from my family to record goals and learning. And what exactly are we paying for? A title that they dangle in front of our face when threatening to take it away. We are professionals and we should be treated as such. Provide us time during our work day to learn and grow for our students.

Absolute none sense all these requirements for an underpaid and under appreciated career. I do attend workshops, meetings when ask with the school board which I don’t mind because I love what I do, but enough with the cpl, paperwork, time, research and the hiking fee for our membership. Is it really necessary?It causes nothing but stress on people and for what?
