Stop the councils removal of tributes on Ted’s bench

So many people, children get so much from visiting Teds bench . It as become a meeting point for many , a bench to sit on and think quietly about Ted . A place to leave a flower , children on there way to school waving to Ted . This as become a very special place for everyone a happy place to sit and think . This should not cause any upset for anyone it is a Beautiful place to sit

It turns out there are some narrow minded, selfish people in the world. We can’t do anything to take Teds parents pain away but we can show our love and support to them and to their little boy by visiting Teds bench and laying flowers. Is that not the point of a memorial bench? And if by doing this its gives Ted’s parents just a little bit of comfort and support through this horrendous time that they are going through right now, then surely that’s got to be a positive thing. So Teds bench does so much more than look beautiful with the tributes on it, it’s helping a family who at this moment are needing that help. X

I can’t help but question the sort of people we have living in this world! When has it ever become acceptable to judge and order people to grieve in a certain way! I drive past this bench everyday (on my way to work) and smile every time at the thought of how special and loved little Ted was and continues to be! In a world where there is so much heartache, and distance between communities your letter goes against every step to build a community of strength! This bench has seen nothing but happier memories for those close to Ted, but also brought such joy to those who never had the privilege of meeting him! For those who have used the “there isn’t space to sit down” shame on you! Just a little 2 minute walk you will find yourself a large park. One which has plenty of benches! If that’s not good enough 2 further minutes up the road another lovely park! Both parks have seen an incredible investment over the past 5 years to make them enjoyable places for the people of the community to relax. So instead of taking enjoyment and happiness off people who need it the most, just take the extra little walk!

I think it's a lovely idea to have somewhere for people to go to remember Ted. What harmore is the bench or the things on it doing. Let them stay

This is rediculous of the council. What harm is it doing to anybody! It is nothing but a positive that shows how close a community we are and should be praised!

Teds bench is a memorial bench! I can’t understand why it’s an issue with people leaving little things on there to either grieve/remember him by. I live in a neighbouring town and drive past this bench everyday and smile every time I pass it and especially when there’s a little something left on there by friends,or Teds family,or even by strangers that don’t even know Ted’s story? I think it’s an absolute disgrace and very heartless if you make Ted’s parents remove these wonderful objects in his memory?
