Stop the councils removal of tributes on Ted’s bench

I think it’s disgusting that’s this letter has been sent to the grieving parents of a child.

This is a poor child not doing any harm

Please keep Teds memory alive with his decorated bench as his bravoury and strength was and is such an inspiration to many many people.

This is utterly disgusting. The bench is meant to be there for everyone to remember Ted. He hasn’t even been gone a year and you are trying to force peoples grief! The first year is the hardest as everything is the first and people just want to be able show the family how much they care by leaving flowers and trinkets. This helps a family grieve as they realise others miss their 1 year old boy as much as them!!

Please don’t remove, such a sad thing to have happened to a family This is peoples way of grieving

Please let Ted’s tributes stay.

Absolutely shocked and appalled that certain people have complained regarding tributes placed on Teds bench. Teds lovely parents and family have been through enough, let them get some joy from the memorial! Balloons and flowers hurt nobody and I will loose faith in humanity if they actually have to remove the sentimental things placed on the bench in memory of such a wonderful little boy.

Let a grieving family grieve the most awful loss someone can ever have. The loss of a child is so much worse. This is a lovely area and it's kept very neat and tidy for the entire community to pay their respects to this incredible little boy. In teds very short life he touched the hearts and souls of so many and this whole community needs a place to grieve his loss. This special place is a place people can come together, it would be a real shame to lose this.

I can’t even believe we have to petition a such heart- felt tribute to a well treasured little boy, that touched so many of our hearts. The community have really involved themselves in taking the time to remember Ted in such a lovely manner. How people can moan about this, is beyond me.

The family are tending to the bench , not asking the council to clear any items. Why make the situation even more difficult and painful.

So whilst the most doting parents in the world grieve for their loss others find reason to complain. Consider your rationale before you put forward your thoughts. Go and find somewhere else to sit and show some respect!

Please keep this bench, it is a symbol of the community and has helped eveyone communicate to each together. It is more than just a bench.

It's plain to see that whitnash community love the bench and like going up there to place presents so why move some think that is loved my all its not causing any problems a child has been lost don't take that one thing that keeps his family happy shame on you whitnash council if you do...
