I have a special needs son and he is being robbed of receiving a comprehensive education based on his personal needs. The Common Core's 'one size, fits all' approach to education has got to end! Common Core has never taken into account the special needs students in school! My son needs accounting type math to help him function in day to day life - NOT abstract Math that he will NEVER use! His school tells me they have nothing else to offer him - what a DISGRACE! The Common Core needs to be repealed immediately! I'm sick and tired of being told that there is nothing anyone can do about it! Next step - CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT!

It's no wonder so many schools are closing because of lack of funds. Common Core is nothing but a money funnel that has no concerns for our children's education, just how much money they can et from an untapped source. It is not preparing our children for anything but taking their tests. They will nto make it through college or through life.

My daughter loves everything about school except for common core math. Homework time often ends in tears...sometimes both of us! She has had points taken off on graded assignments because she didn't correctly draw pictures to 'represent' the 'math fact'. Pure frustration.

I have questioned the content of material brought home in history. I too feel like many important moments are being skipped. I am currently obtaining my BSN. I will graduate May 2015, and we had to hire tutor to help my son with math homework! I have not been able to find evidence that this change is the right choice for our system. Great teachers are leaving the profession. Others feel their hands are tied and they have no voice in the matter. If your child has been struggling with common core, I urge you to read some of the questions our 3rd and 5th graders are being asked to answer! I refuse to allow my child to be bullied by these ridiculous high stakes tests! I urge you to give the power back to the adminstrators and teachers! They know best what works and what doesn't because they have been in the classrom!

Bill Ayers, the commuist revolutionary and Obama`s mentoris credited with writing the textbooks.CC is about indoctrination, about making children follow direction, and school to work.
