We've been contacting state/federal representatives regarding this issue. Let's hope people triumph over money.

sheltered work environments in ny state are needed for so many individuals with special needs. structure & supervision are very important. my son (along with many others) needs supervision and structure so he will stay on task and be SAFE, with someone there to supervise him

To close these workshops is to close the door to a future for many individuals! It would be an injustice, a disservice and a heart break for all involved with student's or children with disabilities.

Providing for those that can't is the role of government. Family's grow old and pass on, what happens to the next generation?

Please don't close the workshops. It will be a disservice to all those whom sheltered workshops are serving. Please take a closer look at this issue. Perhaps you just need to update the name of this service as it leads people to believe it is not in the spirit of inclusion but a closer look will reveal this is not the case at all and many individual's quality of life is at issue here. Please listen.
