My sister LIVES for her job at Acheive. Think about how damaging this is to her! Close the workshops, but still have day hab? How does that make sense???

My dear friend is losing more than a job. She is losing the one place where she feels like she belongs, the one place she has friends, and the one thing she gets out of bed for every day!

Why would you close a business where people WANT TO WORK and are doing something besides taking benifits from our system..?

This is a terrible decision! I don't believe any of the other programs will come close to what a sheltered workshop provides- dignity, a purpose and the opportunity to earn a real living- just like you or I do.

A proven program that works and has worked for many years! You are taking away a lifeline for so many disabled adults throughout the state. This is truly a tragedy.

It's important to keep the workshops open!

We need these support systems in place for our disabled individuals to enrich their lives.

Why must the government always mess with effective and time proven programs?

This would be a travesty of justice to take away the opportunity for thes indivuduals to remain productive in the eyes of the communities in which they reside. Please contiue these much needed services for those who qualify. Sheletered workshops are an asset to the community!

An ill advised idea. NYS trying to re-invent the wheel again...always comes out a costly rectangular wheel causing a bumpy ride.
