One of the best things to happen to that town for a long time. A place to actually be proud of not to try to close

Absolutely ridiculous. Sean and the team have worked hard to get Barcode to where it is today and they work hard with the community to keep raising money for good causes. Surely there is a process and hierarchy before serving notice to remove a license that doesn't appear to have been followed?

I would like to hear the justification from the police and council as to the general public of Atherstone this notice appears to be nothing short of completely unfounded and unreasonable. This pub is an asset to our town.

I am in sheer disbelief of this notice. Here you have some of the most essential business owners in our town having to face something that is unfair. These men have concentrated their time and ideas of Barcode being a safe environment, a place that helps and aids the community, a place where everyone is secure, violence is not tolerated, and everyone alike is welcome. It stands for much more than a bar in these days- how many people can say that feel a friendly atmosphere when they go out for the night to other pubs? How many parents of 18-25 year olds feel that their son/daughter is in a safe place in any old drinking establishment? They do feel secure in Barcode.
How many people have benefited from their charity work, and also Barcode encouraging others to look after their community?
This team has got the next generation caring about our town, and people alike. They have encouraged friendship.
This isn't just a business opened to profit, this a business that's running to provide the community with much more.

The young gentleman at barcode have done an amazing job within our community and bringing people from out of town to our otherwise dead nightlife. They are a true inspiration to many, role models to our young adults and their premises is one of the best in the town. It will be such a travesty to see this beautiful venue shut down. I really hope the decision is overturned as those young men work so hard to make it a success for our community.

How pathetic. Local hardworking people trying to do good by the town, raising an astonishing amount of money for various charities and this is the response. I do wander what good the council actually do to serve the people of Atherstone!?

Best pub around and how you can think about shutting a pub that has raised that much money for local charities is disgusting. Good luck to sean and danny
