I cannot understand or even began to wrap my mind around the fact that this merger is even being discussed. First of all how are you saving money allowing District 4 staff to drive daily to Clayton County in a DPH vehicle? What about wear and tear on the vehicle let alone the gas which will probably be paid by the District? Also why does the DHD need a shower in his office? Another unnecessary expense to Cayton county employees, who were good enough to hold positions when the place was full of mold. Where was the Governor when Clayton county needed help with repairing the building? If this is the help that is being offered I say thanks but , no thanks.

This proposal is of little to no benefit for the county of Clayton. A proposal to merge with a district with fewer resources, a lower per capita income and a crumbling health care system is obviously not in the best interest of our county. I am ashamed that such a merger would be recommended and/or supported.

Clayton County does not need to be a part of the Lagrange Health District. The demographics are different. The needs are different. The employees were told one thing but shown something else. After years of working in a space that was nearly uninhabitable, they will finally get a space where they can proudly serve the citizens of Clayton. If is unfair and just ethically wrong how this is being handled. If all of the employees walked out, would Lagrange come to Clayton and work in the Forest Park and Phoenix Blvd Clinics? Would they help our mothers up the steps who struggle with baby strollers while going to the W.I.C. clinic? Would they take the time to understand the walk-in mother who is overwhelmed? The employees are being treated horribly. This move seems calculated and with no conversation with the community, it seems like something underhanded is happening. Let Clayton continue to be a sister District to Lagrange, but do not merge with them. As citizens, we deserve input. Hear our voices!!!

As a long time citizen of Clayton County, it is absolutely crucial that the funding for a District Health Director be met. The Clayton County Board of Health has been working very hard for the past few years to remain an important department in the lives of their citizens. This merger is a very selfish decision that does not take into consideration the hardworking citizens and workers this county supports. Please hear out the voices of the Clayton County citizens before thinking about this merger.

This merger is not fair to the community first and foremost. The enployees have been through hell for two years holding on to see their dedication thrown under the bus. They too are Claytin County Residents and the loss of jobs will also unemploy County Employees and leave them homeless as they do have have mortgages to pay and will be left with no way to pay them. They also have families to care for. This is a negative move for Clayton Co in so many ways. It's a Pure POWER move and It Is Not In Anyones Best Interest. IT MUST NOT MOVE FORWARD. The Staff Have Had Various Health Issues From Working In The Prior Building And Should Consider A Class Action Suit If This Merger Is Forced Through By Toomey And The Medical Director. There are many more reasons that this merger must be looked into extensively. The community going to be negatively affected in many ways by this move. We Are opposed To It Moving Forward. It Is Wrong On Many Levels and will Come To Light.
