Has anyone noticed all the Original
Salaried CCBOH staff who have already lost their livelihood? Who knew that district 4 only hires hourly staff with no benefits? The majority of those were vested. (10+years) dedicated public servants. They went through 29 months of holding it down in very uncertain and trying times, all for nothing. Now their families are uninsured, in the middle of a pandemic that they worked through. They don't deserve what this merger has done to their lives and well being. It's such an unnecessary evil. So malicious. They are clayton county residents, so this will affect the local community, they are homeowners with no way to pay their mortgages. Foreclosures destabilize communities. It's a lose/lose for these dedicated employees, their families, their communities and the residents of Clayton County who have counted on and thrived from these peoples care. It's just a bad deal all the way around. Bad business for Clayton County.

The merger will dissect the intricate process and development of our Health Department. It is important to understand the significance of what our Health department in Clayton County has accomplished and the growth that is to come. We need to stay independent and not merge.

As a resident of Clayton County I am against the merger of the two health districts. I feel our county elected and appointed officials have somewhat failed us. If asked most are unaware of the services offered and probably never or haven't visited in years. Why hasn't this situation been on the local news, in the newspaper, on radio/television and/or on social media. For this petition to have been created over 2 weeks ago and only have 240 signatures is troubling. This injustice needs the county's support and attention to stop this merger.

As a Clayton County Resident, This merger is depleting resources for the Community with a Power Pac move. It will not serve this community to merge the Health Department with 14 other clinics. Thats a monopoly of resources that are allocated according to the size and demographics. Clayton County serves 287thousand residents. The largest Airport in the Nation and a thriving growth. ONLY Lagrange will benefit from this merge. The Clayton County Community will be the Biggest Loser. This is not right. Why Haven't They Given Residents A Say In This Big Dollar Merge? Why Hasn't The Media Reported On This Whole Takeover? Why Has This Been Kept Away From The People Who Should Be Aware Of Their Allocated Funds? What will happen with the Employees that have weathered the storm with CCBoH? They worked there under the Worst Circumstances. They have had Their Facility CONDEMNED Due To Black Mold and still faithfully Continued to Come To Work To serve. They have Plunged Ahead In Order To Keep The Doors Open While Many Left At A Drop Of A Dime. They Have Served A Community That Needed Them And Did So With Great Care And Warmth And With Excellence. They Should Not Be Left Out Of This Equation. This merger is just wrong for many reasons and it is driven by greed. Clayton County Serves More People Than ANY of The Clinics In The ENTIRE Lagrange District. KEEP CLAYTON COUNTY DOLLARS IN CLAYTON COUNTY. This is not a game of MONOPOLY.
