We need more transit options in the region, not fewer. This proposal will make life miserable for our not-so-well-off residents. Is that the purpose?

Cutting bus service is exactly the wrong thing to do. It penalizes low income people, older people, students, and all of us because it increases environmental degradation. Do not do it.

WMATA is a regional service that is regionally funded and used. We don't work, live and commute based on jurisdictions.

We need the bus service. Please do not cut the services. For us that do not drive we really really depend on the bus service.

Dear Councilmembers,
I strongly support keeping the WMATA bus lines running at full strength. They are important in keeping the city and the Metro area accessible to all residents, and also allow people to live here without a car.

We should be expanding bus service, not cutting it! Thank you!

Hello Mr. Glass,
Please oppose the cut to bus routes in MC. Many people will be affected by this. Bus ridership is important for the climate, as well as, traffic congestion.

We need to expand mass transit options, not cut them back. Climate change realities require no less.

Our local bus only comes every 30 minutes, which has pushed us to use our personal vehicle. Time to get climate ready, reduce personal vehicle use, and reduce congestion

I know money is tight and will get tighter. This is a major reason to make GOOD choices not only for now but because we will save money in the future. We must stop pretending that business as usual can continue indefinitely. Global warming is real, we need much more bus and rail transportation and much less single person auto traffic. MORE BUSES NOT FEWER. Please think farther ahead then the next 24 hours, please consider scientific reality in your decisions. Thank you.

It would be a great shame to cut metrobus lines. We must reduce Gren house gas emissions and provide transportation for those who don't use a car by choice or for economic reasons.

We need to INCREASE bus service, not decrease. There are some communities that are actually making the most heavily used routes in their communities free to both help residents who depend on reliable bus service AND decrease their carbon footprint.

Public transit is a great way to reduce air pollution and supports community members who do not have alternative transit options. Don't cut our bus routes!

I depend on Metro buses to get around. So do many other people. Cutting heavily used routes will be a great disservice to your riders, who use your buses to get to work, school, doctor appointments, and other important locations. These are people who cannot afford a car, do not want to sit in traffic jams and look for dwindling parking spaces, or who prefer not to pollute the sky daily with auto emissions. Please reconsider your decisions to cut or reduce bus services.
