Stop the bus cuts!

I am a lifelong Montgomery County resident who has always relyed on Metrobus for reliable transportation throughout the county.

My work takes me all over the state of Maryland, so I don't ride the bus as often as I have before. However, many of my neighbors and friends RELY on the bus, and it is needed to keep this key service.

Keep the buses Running! More buses more people riding the bus and less cars!

Bus service is extremely important for so many people, especially those living below the median income, cutting service and raising fares will hurt hard working people.

Why are you cutting the Z2 I really depend on this bus line to get me to work. Please don’t cut this bus line.

I depend on the Q2, Q6 bus lines to get to Montgomery College in Rockville. If these lines are cut then there will be no buses from Wheaton to Montgomery College. I don’t want to transfer to another bus that would delay me getting to school. Please don’t cut these lines. They are needed.

The Z6 and Z8 are the only bus lines that runs on Old Columbia Pike. How will my son get to school at Paint Branch High School? Please don’t touch these lines.

I ride the Z8 to work in the mornings and afternoons. It is the only bus that goes to my office building (Verizon - Chesapeake Complex). Please don’t cut this line. There is no replacement.

Service reductions will disproportionately affect students commuting to Montgomery College, seniors running daily errands and service workers accessing jobs. Roughly 65,000 Montgomery riders use Metrobus on a daily basis, and for many these bus routes are their only source of transportation."

WMATA is crazy. Please don’t cut the Z8 and Q1, Q2, Q5, Q6. I use these lines to go to school and work.

Please DO NOT CUT THE Z8 @ Z2 BUS ROUTES!

Please don’t cut the Z11. It is the only express bus that I use that services Greencastle Park & Ride Lot. The BRT will not service Greencastle Park & Ride Lot.

I use the Z2 to go to school at Sherwood High School. Please don’t cut this bus line. I live in Silver Spring and this is the only bus service to Sherwood High School.

The Z bus line is an important part of the Silver Spring area. The Z2 bus line is greatly needed.

Public transportation is meant to be redundant, offering multiple means of transportation for the population so that we're not forced to use a single mode of transport. Furthermore, these lines serve many immigrant communities, so cutting them would be a huge disservice, and would create unequal access to public transportation, prioritizing those with the money to live closer to transportation hubs and penalizing the poor.

Evan ...thank you for high lighting this . Think about what big events you might organize with Wmata to encourage people to come to a transit fair and discuss what bus routes they currently use and what they would like or need.

Please do not cut this bus route. It is a crucial transportation need for Blake high school students
