Cutting bus routes is a terrible idea. Car traffic will increase, it will take longer for people to get to work or school, air pollution will increase.

Not only do adults use the bus, but our young people do too. Makes no sense to cut busses when we need to cut emissions.

We need public transportation to get around. Many individuals do not drive and use the bus and metro for transportation. STOP THE CUTS!!!!!

Reliable and expansive bus service is a critical part of public transportation. These reductions will harm people who rely on the bus and force others into cars. Please do not cut bus service.

More buses and easier access promote use and reduce the reliance on cars.

We need MORE PUBLIC transportation, not less! Better bus service means fewer cars. There are many people who rely on public transportation

This is so backwards! Please cut it out. The future is a mass transit future that is climate friendly and accessible to all.

We need more public transportation, not less. Workers who are poor and can't afford a car need transportation late at night. Making busses less-frequent and less-reliable only undermines public transportation to the point where it doesn't help anybody and it gets eliminated.

If we want to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, reduce traffic congestion, and increase economic opportunity, we need more bus service, not less. I strongly oppose these cuts.

The Q buses are the only bus that goes to Dennis Avenue Health Center from Rockville during the weekdays at 30 minute intervals. It is a lifeline for residents. The Y buses provides essential transportation to Medstar Montgomery Medical Center. In the last community health needs assessment, Medstar surveyed residents and one of the main concerns is access to care via transportation. Please keep the buses running.

I am a young, full-time employee and Montgomery County resident. Access to transit is critical as I don't want to become dependent on a single occupancy vehicle.....

It is RIDICULOUS that Wmata is cutting service.

This is a terrible idea! The only way to have a truly viable public transportation system is to keep these important bus routes and have more frequent buses not fewer. Cutting service will create great hardship for those who can least afford to deal with it, and cut further into the unreliability of the county's bus system, ensuring fewer people ride the bus - lowering income from bus tickets and making things even worse. Read Steven Higashide's recent book Better Buses, Better Cities (or listen to him talk about it on episode 388 of the podcast 99% Invisible) to learn about better approaches. Please change your mind on this important issue!

Please do not cut these heavily used routes. The Y route is the only one that goes through Leisure World, providing access to the outside world for many seniors.

Build Buses, Not Roads !

Easy availability of transportation is essential for physical, mental, economic, and environmental health. We need more, not less. God help us.
