I own a business in the neighborhood and I know I will need to combat the issue of the homeless coming to my yard to steal what they think is scrap.

I do Not agree at all with a shelter in my area. I have a family and small kids who use MAURICE park as an outdoors entertainment. It Is well know that the homeless take over parks and everything they can. My kids and I won't be able to enjoy the outdoors anymore! And there's many more reasons why my family and I disagree with this idea.

Warehousing people in a room w/no kitchen facilities and a curfew is not the answer. It hasn't worked in other hotels and won't work here

No need for a shelter, open it in Williamsburg, Park Slope or any other of the high profile neighborhoods. I moved here to feel safe, not worried.

The fact that there aren't any facilities that can help the homeless back on their feet near the Maspeth Hotel really exemplifies the poor planning that was put into this. They can't be expected to sit in their hotel rooms staring at warehouses and cemeteries all day!

I strongly dislike the idea of my neighborhood being used as a dump for homeless individuals being we have seniors and kids in large number and a park a block away from one of the proposed shelters.

I do not want my family exposed to such danger. There are too many children in this area. I fear for all of our childrens' safety. I've read many statements about the dangers of living and being around shelters.

Middle Village, Maspeth and Glendale are still nice communities, don't drag it down by putting people who have mental, drug and also petifiles.
