Maspeth is a horrible neighborhood anyways there already a bunch of tents set up around the lie highway and not to mention all the homeless people in ridgewood , I am with to having the hotel turned into a homeless shelter all these people are greedy saying they don't want homeless in their neighborhood , well if you want the homeless to be happy then I'm sure you should support it . they wouldn't be happier sleeping on your doorsteps (and I'm sure you wouldn't either in and with sleeping on someone's ) , I fully approve this but there also has to be some changes in the community all from increases in patrol to keeping everyone save . This negativity has to stop because no homeless wants to sleep on the street, get the city to help these people out and keep them maintained . Create jobs and help them move on

Protect our community. Don't dump people in Maspeth, provide no other resources and expect a good outcome. This is unacceptable and immoral.

These are safe quiet areas of Queens & There are too many schools and houses in the area to have a homeless shelter. Children in the Maspeth area are known by most of the Community because it is such a tight community, and most Parents feel safe allowing their Children to go to the park or ride bikes, take walks etc. Now we will have to worry about the homeless Shelter & most homeless are not even New Yorkers! How about building a nice apartment/ condo complex for growing Families - or making that a Community Center, or Boys and Girls club! Do something useful.

Please show some respect for the citizens of Maspeth and don't put the homeless shelter there. Refurbish factories in industrial sections of city to house the homeless.

We work hard to keep our neighborhoods safe and maintain our homes. We don't need homeless shelters in our area. Put them in the communities that need them. Stop trying to destroy our communities

St. Johns would be a more appropriate place to house the homeless. Better yet, let's assert eminent domain over pricey, unoccupied Manhattan real estate owned by foreign shell companies.

Homeless shelters should be built in low income areas where they are needed. Not in a tight community where the residents feel safe.

I disagree with the entire idea. Way to close to one family homes in an area not suited for a homeless shelter.

Homeless shelters shouldn't be built in isolated areas like Glendale. It doesn't benefit the current residents or the homeless seeking rehabilitation.
