As homeless shelters are important, making one in Maspeth would not benefit the neighborhood. There are many young children in the area and I don't think it would healthy for them or the neighborhood. It is one of the very few "good neighborhoods" left in Queens. With shelters come criminals and theft, rapes. It is very concerning for people who live here and grew up here and are raising families. Please do not take our peaceful minds from us. And the peace in the area.

This area is home for our kids - they play Here, go to school Here - we need more beautiful spots, places for families to spend their family time

Homeless shelters should not be in an isolated neighborhood with no easy access to transportation, stores, and public offices. Homeless shelters need to be where the residents of the shelter can have access to their everyday needs.

I live in Maspeth and have already seen the negative effects of this shelter in this spot. Panhandling off the highway. Urinating in public and open drug sales and prostitution. We have too many schools and churches in this area. This is a blight on our neighborhood.

It is wrong for the homeless, no transportation or help there. It is wrong for the children, a child's playground one block away. Schools within 4 blocks. Shame on the MAYOR DEBLAZIO

Put them in Diblasios backyard!

These people need housing with kitchen not hotel rooms. Mayor De Blasio, go and build them in your neighborhood!

No more shelters. The neighborhood needs more maintenance, cleaning, rather than becoming a dumping ground for shelters.

Homeless shelters should not be build within Communities of families with children, schools and playgrounds. They need to find another location like industrial areas.

Was is being transfer to this hotel is violent people. We are a small community with children and ederly. We do not need this. It's a quiet place. This is NO DUMPING GROUND for this. We don't need drug addicts, prostitutes, and troubled people. Enough is enough. There are already too many in our surrounding area. Stop trying to push us out.

Not acceptable where they are being placed there is nothing no transportation to be constructive . Try to improve their situation. The only thing is for them to cause Harm

Worst idea there is a mall there and schools children attend there should not be a homeless shelter close by.
