Do not move the students

This move in not in the best interest of the students. Many families chose their home based on the school assignments - it is unfair and unnecessary.

Please find another way. Even for those without kids, it is likely to effect our property values at a crucial time in their lives. Thank you

Keep the boundaries the same for this community. It would not be easy for the families who already have children in Highland Jr and Highland High schools and have their other children go to other schools.

I live in Val Vista Lakes and currently attend highland jr high school. It’s not a far drive at all and I love going there. I’m in 7th grade and not being able to go to my school next year since I already know everyone and all my friends are there would be awful.

Kids who are living in Val Vista and are at hjhs should remain going and go to Highland High School next year to spend with their friends that they have made. If their older siblings have gone to Hhs i also feel that should be an advantage to the kids so that hey can goto hhs with their siblings.

I have older kids already at highland. Then a son at highland jr and then 2 littles about to follow into highland jr high. I DO NOT want my kids at 4 different schools and on different transportations routes and different locations. This truly is disheartening to think of splitting up our families and the schools our kids have grown to love and look forward to attending all these years!!! Val Vista Lakes was purposely chosen by our family for the community and the schools we would feed into!

No boundary changes. We moved into VVL so we would go to Highland High.

People do not purchase homes in Val Vista Lakes on a whim. Houses cost more here, and there is less availability. Val Vista Lakes residents give serious thought to purchasing here, and it is the draw of the schools, the small-town family atmosphere, and the strong sense of community that makes us want to live here and pay more. Please do not change the school boundaries for Val Vista Lakes. We are Highland.

We purchased our home based upon the schools our children would attend, and the tight-knit community that is SO involved with our schools. Highland schools have superior sports, academic, and music programs. We are a Highland community and have supported Highland strongly for years. Please do not change the boundaries and force us to attempt open enrollment. Our community will be divided, transportation issues at the school will be exacerbated, and our children will receive a lesser educational and extracurricular experience.

We chose our home because it was in the Highland School District. I would ask that you strongly consider leaving Val Vista Lakes as is. It is unfair to switch when people counted on living in a district. Please reconsider this change. We would like our kids, their kids, and on and on, to be able to live in this neighborhood if they want and have access to the schools we thought were best!
