We live in VVL specifically so that our kids would be within Highland boundaries. My son has been in the Highland Marching Band for 3 years. He would be devastated to switch schools his senior year. I have a daughter right behind him in Color Guard. Please do not change these boundaries.

I grew up in VVL and am a Highland alumni. Please keep VVL in the boundaries, Highland is far superior to Gilbert!

We understand the need to increase numbers at GHS, but VVL residents have been extremely loyal to Highland over the years and in return we feel such a sense of pride to be part of the Hawk Community. Truly sad to possibly lose the Pre AP Curriculum (offered by only 2 high schools in AZ), athletics, incredible music programs, amazing teachers who have formed relationships with our kids and families, and that extra special Hawk spirit. So many students have been allowed to Open Entoll for so many years, but those of us who chose Highland boundaries are now the ones having to worry. Please reconsider!

I purchased a home in VVL for my kids to go to Highland high. I currently have a student at highland jr and he is very excited about the band program at highland high.

Boundary changes cannot be ethically considered until the academic performance of Gilbert High matches Highland High! Our children are not numbers or sacrifices for the school board’s benefit!

Sudden proposed Gilbert Public Schools boundary changes are unfair to students and families in Val Vista Lakes. School boundary changes would also affect our property values, our work schedules, and our students' transportation needs.

We actually bought our home in VVL 15 years ago so that our son could go to VVL, HJHS, HHS. When he graduated 2 years ago from Hughland, we were ready to upgrade our home and decided to stay in VVL because of the excellent schools that our oldest son attended.

I have already submitted my thoughts online to the district questionnaire there, but I am very much in favor of keeping VVL students at both Highland Jr. High and Highland High School. The academic opportunities as well as orchestra program at HHS are second-to-none, and the scope of those opportunities is not available at GHS (particularly with the orchestras). As a parent whose children have benefited immensely from those programs, I would encourage you to reconsider boundary changes for VVL.

The gifted programs are at highland. Highland also has one of the highest ranked music programs in the state. Boundary exemptions will divide our community.

I attend highland high and I had friends who use to go to Gilbert who didn't like the school at all. And complained a lot about it. I would prefer to stay at highland and have all my siblings go there too. Highland is a great family especially choir and dance and orchestra. I want my personal family to join the highland family

My kids love their high school and all 7 og my children hope to attend. I am very saddened by this because Higland High is part of our community spirit. Please reconsider.

We moved to VVL because of the schools. This is a disappointment.

I don’t think they should change the boundaries that will put a hardship on families with kids in multiple grades.
