Please don’t ruin these children’s social life just because the amount of students in that area have increased.

School boundaries should not be changed unless a majority of those affected agree- there has been little time to determine the impact on students, athletics, family, eg kids split into different schools during transition. continue to study the impacts particularly the demographics should be left to an expert consultant NOT the county /city or school board. we vote NO!!

I oppose the change. VVL should remain in the HHS boundary.

There is a work study session tomorrow night with the gilbert school board. We need everyone to show up and voice the concerns of the community.

I do not support the boundary change for VVL residents. Gilbert High is not at the standard of Highland with much lower tests scores across the board with a lower student/teacher ratio....how does that even happen. If you are having issues keeping students enrolled there I would suggest digging to the root of the problem vs finding a bandaid solution as the students are the ones that will pay the price for you trying to find a work around.

The only reason we moved into Val Vista Lakes was because we wanted our kids to go to Highland High School. We printed the Highland Boundaroes map and gave it to our realtor and never even looked at one house outside of the boundary.

Quit giving boundary exceptions to those that don't live in current boundaries, that's the first step!!!! leave those of us that moved to these neighborhoods for good schools alone! we paid for this.

I don’t nessasarily agree with those folks complaining about changing the ‘neighborhood demographics’ of VVL by allowing the change... it sounds pretty elitist and a bit snobby to me.... but I do agree that families that have lived here chose the neighborhood because of the school district, and that’s also how many folks looking to buy, choose a neighborhood.
Add other areas (new builds) to Gilbert high, leave VVL with HHS as it’s been there since the beginning.
Please don’t do this.
Be smart. Don’t change the boundaries.
