We pay tax dollars to keep the park clean and usable by all. We are also facing an obesity epidemic and charging people to exercise in a park is the most counter productive idea I've heard.

As a former Mayor I understand the need for municipalities to look at revenue. This measure neither makes sense nor is a welcoming act. Charging for the act of entering unguarded waters is neither appropriate nor reasonable. It seems to be a simple effort to grab money

The water and access belong to the tax payers already. What service are they providing to justify the fee?

Shame on this town. We pay enough in taxes in N.J. and also pay the highest beach fees.

Enough already. Why should anyone have to pay to launch a nonmotorized watercraft? There are no special facilities required to put your paddleboard or kayak in the bay.

Another town limiting our access. It's becoming an epidemic.
I'd like to know if any state (Green Acres) or federal money was used in it's development.

While this ordinance my be pulled or tabled for now, rest assured the town will do something. Please show up 5/24 so that something still respects public access to waterways.

That takes the joy out of the beauty of living on an island. And already paying lots to own a home there. Come on already!
