This is a terrible addition to an already overpopulated suburb. With so many reasons to visit and support the local businesses, enjoy the beaches etc, the area will be even more difficult to visit and access by residents. It would be a real shame to destroy what is left of Brighton Le Sands..

Absolutely opposed to this development. Traffic congestion is out of control as is parking - we are the only suburb not to have metered parking. This development is not in keeping with the "family suburb" feel. What exactly are we aiming to turn Brighton into? A high crime area???

I've lived here for 40 years and can't believe this development is even being proposed. We don't want crime to escalate or traffic to get worse - where is the planning for this suburb?!

Happily signing this petition - the last thing this suburb needs is the introduction of more scum. The area already cannot be enjoyed by residents due to its popularity 7 days a week. Unfortunately this beautiful beach side suburb due to its proximity to "certain suburbs" is swarmed by undesirables and absolutely trashed, the streets and beach are full of rubbish, traffic is terrible and cars are damaged and you can barely hear yourself think with the beaten up imprezas screaming down Bay Street. We need more police presence (like cronulla), more parking or metered/timed parking and more support from the local council who are as useless as an ashtray on a motorcycle!

I've been living in the area for the last 25years and will be here till I die.
I've watched the changes around Brighton. GOOD and BAD...
This decision is a HORRIBLE one...
Please don't let them do it.

As a tax and rates payer, we DONT want or need any boarding accomodation of any kind in our neighbourhood. Attracting uneducated and social undesirables is not excepted. I'm sure areas like St. Marys & Penrith would have more room to accomodate this proposed project. We want our community to continue to be a safe place for the young and old...

Boarding House is absolutely unacceptable!!! What are you making from Brighton-Le-Sands. You should make bigger Library and educational areas. We don't want low class people in this area. It will bring more trouble and more criminals. You can make boarding house in Cronulla. You just want more criminal in Brighton-Le-Sands.

I am against boarding house to be built on the Bay Street because it will bring more trouble in our area. We don't want backpackers and other low level people to populate this area.

It's already a nightmare trying to visit a restaurant or the beach . The entire suburb is getting uglier and more Boarding houses attract low income,financially challenged socio-economic demographic-not good for the neighbourhood or for local businesses.We do not need anymore of that socio-economic demographic in this middle class beach side suburb.

An already under serviced suburb for parking, especially at weekends and now introducing more cars with less parking? There already is a high hoon rate with minimal police presence this will further exasperate the issue. Retail will deteriorate and the overall attractiveness of the suburb will continue to drop.

It would be a nice change to instead of going backwards, we started going forward in a progressive manner. Brighton Le Sands it not what it used to be, when we first moved here, 21 years ago.

I live right next to a house that has been used as a boarding house and I know quite well., the types of issues coming from it.v Brighton Le Sands used to be a well regarded area, however this perception has been changed and not for the better.

A total shocking and stupid proposal . It smells of rotten money .To even propose such absurdity ,someone or people have already received some envelopes, with fresh notes . Someone/people in rockdale council , perhaps ?
