To Whom It May Concern,
The biggest concern of all of this proposed development is the complete lack of parking space. I live in a unit with my wife and we have two cars meaning that one is already out on the street and I'm constantly battling to find a spot each evening after work.
So the reality is many of the occupants of these will have a second car meaning even if only 50% do that will be an extra 132 cars but with only 22 car spaces to accommodate them. While that may work for suburbs like Rockdale that have a train station attached to them that's NOT good enough for Brighton Le Sands as occupants will see personal vehicles as a necessity.

Seriously fix the roads and the hoons
No one sleeps at night and the building of any highly rise will only increase the population and pollution around here

Any developer or councillor who has anything to do with this proposal should hang their heads in shame & disgrace. If it's such a great idea, put it in their own backyard or street.

As a family man I think Brighton is a tip already so finish it off Bayside Council by approving this development. Go one step further and have commercial leases at street level and make them Strip Joints and Massage Palours, finish the area off as I don't go there already I only live at Monterey.

Why a boarding House? This area is for retail and self owned property in units etc. A boarding house would be inappropriate as it should be at least close to a train station and other conveniences.

I'm glad to see so many people sign the petition and put their comments here, however, I'm not sure if this is enough to let the decision makers know our opinion and stop the development.
It's an obvious disaster for local residents, even if you lock yourself up in your house, you won't be safe.
What do we do to REALLY STOP it?

This cannot proceed - the area already receives bad press, the construction of a boarding house on the main "showcase" street would be detrimental.

As a real estate agent I am not against boarding houses, but I do not believe this tower should be erected in this position should be relocated near industrial/ mixed use areas, and most importantly in close proximity to train lines. The council should be looking at more police presence, metered parking and not boarding houses.
