I am opposed to this development as I believe it is not in keeping with the village feel of the Bay St area. Limited on site parking will put further pressure on available parking in the Bay Street area.

I am opposed to increased vehicle parking issues as already there is a limit to parking around bay Street. It will impact greatly on the village feel of our local shopping centre and all the small businesses in the street. Also council's do not provide adequate infrastructure to cope with increase in people as well as vehicles. It must stop or a stand must be taken to make the developers provide additional parking. The parking DCP is not a realistic document as everyone knows each unit will have at least one of maybe 2vehicles.

Hard to imagine it will remain a boarding house, the proposed use is only designed to try to give the proposal "social housing" creds. Almost sure to "morph" into expensive units with accommodation attracting undesirable "AirBnB" clients with little parking or interest in the Brighton-Le-Sands village!

The proposed development is contrary to the amenity of the area both in size and type of occupancy.
Further parking is totally inadequate for such a size development given that it is a 88 room development with most couples owning at least one car and most are 2 car occupancy. Allowing for only 22 spaces is what I would call a joke if it was not so serious irresponsible and damaging. Bearing in mind this does not allow for visitor parking or parking for ambulance, nurses or carers.
In what universe does the developer live as this shows little regard to the local community yet alone to the credibility of the professionalism of whoever developed the plan.
Really angry and disjointed,

The proposed development is totally at odds with village nature of the area. Parking spaces are rare enough as it is and the whole proposition is beyond comprehension

The proposal of a boarding house in Brighton-Le-Sands is one of an uneducated plan that has not been thought through. The suburb is thriving on a unique cafe and coffee culture and promoting this unique cafe culture and small businesses is one that should be developed, encouraged and promoted. To have a 8 story building towering where the heart of the suburb is will bring chaos and unrest. We are wanting to shape the suburb and promote the greatness of the small business and cafe culture. Let's not loose this great vibe and help to keep the suburb crime free, a great place to live and enjoy the beach and have a quiet coffee and great food in the thriving streets of Brighton-Le-Sands. Let's really look to blocking a street off instead just as in Rockdale city centre where people and business can meet and thrive. Brighton-Le-Sands is a top dollar beach suburb, let's not loose it's property worth.

This is ridiculous to have a boarding house in this precinct.

Bayside council has a lot to answer for.
They are not backward in putting their hands out for all the rates but they are not prepared to do much for
their people. Ramsgate shopping complex is another fine example of
just "how good our local council is"
Gone are the days when the old Ropckdale council really cared about
the people who live in their area.

Totally inappropriate development for the area considering traffic congestion and not enough parking in Brighton-Le-Sands.

I am opposed to any more high rise of any sort in this area. Traffic is horrendous at Brighton as it is. Parking is a great problem in this area.

What the hell are you thinking? Here's no parking in the area as it is, this is a terrible idea.
Please leave Brighton Le Sands as is, it does not need overdevelopment.
