This development is totally inappropriate and unnecessary in Brighton. There would be too much shadowing of adjacent properties, especially in winter.

Brighton le sands doesn't need this type of development. If the young professionals can't afford to live here already they are welcome to catch public transport Mr Redelmen reckons is so good. Can we ban jet skis as well?

Absolute joke! Bad enough we have traffic issues and parking and to now include 88 more people in an already packed area with only 22 spots available is laughable

Would be open to a backpackers accommodation more than a boarding house. At least they won't need parking in most cases and attract tourism to the area.

A boarding house is not the same as a unit block or a hotel. BLS already has huge parking problems, There should be at least 100 parking places. Brighton already has to many social problems with car & motorbike hoons frequenting the place and disturbing the peace of local residents. Council, the local member and police don't do enough to address these issues. This will only add to the existing anti social problems and in my view create even more problems.

There is not sufficient parking. Traffic congestion. An architectural eyesore.
Totally of character of the suburb. Will lower property values in area .

The development will not only reduce the value of our properties, it will bring people to the area that donot share the same values of most land holders in the area. It will increase the risk of break-ins in residential homes as well as commercial premises. This is not what we want in a beach side living area. This development should not been approved by Council.

I am strongly opposed to this high rise development especially with the limited off street parking proposed which will lead to more congestion in an already highly congested area. We have already seen the impact of tension caused by the demand for parking spaces and this development will only add to this .

No to the boarding house tower. This area is highly congested. It is not good for this small beachside suburb. Trying to park in this area is a nightmare. This is definately not good for our neighbourhood or local business.

Definate NO - I strongly feel this area very congested.. No parking, Privacy issues and traffic congestion, which I feel is a health hazard. Concerntration is needed on building road not highrise buildings...

If Rockdale Council approves this development there is no common sense in our council. An eyesore building whose height towers over the existing streetscape and an 88 room boarding house with only 22 car spaces when there is no parking on Bay St at the best of times is a silly proposal.

I am opposed to this development for many reasons. Firstly there is not enough parking currently in Brighton. Why would the council allow a development to go ahead that can not accommodate more vehicles. Also does Brighton need a boarding house.
