Much too tall and ugly for Bay Street.We are already suffering from too many cars parking in Brighton Streets just during the week. On weekends it is horrific. Nowhere to put out the bins anymore. There is also no parking in and around Bay Street if anyone wants to go to a restaurant or do any shopping,not that there is any shopping in Brighton anymore because of the parking all the shops have gone. Let us build parking stations and bring back the shops and stop the restaurants dying from lack of customers. More high-rise means more cars.

This seems to be happening across all of Brighton. Insufficient parking spaces and increasing the size of community (residence). Brighton is becoming an unfriendly community and ill equipped to already support the amount of residence it has. Simple parking zones should be incorporated to increase council revenue for guest on streets.Instead of increasing council rates. Instead i keep getting people blocking my driveway nearly everyday/night. The city centers business's will be affected and again will show how the councilof Brighton does not support its own. Good example is Bay Expresso - where alot of people not only go for the coffee but for the people that run the show. Hospitality goes a long way and we do not need any more foreigners investing in AUS and ruining the market for the average JOE. Not to mention the building itself should never have even gotten to the stage of having a draft picture, or architectural plan made as it seems the zoning changes only to suit who will profit.
A solution would be to keep the Brighton center away from these type of buildings than only fill the pockets of certain people and make the community suffer. The council should really be realistic and not think about their pockets.

Moate Avenue and Bay Street already is in chaos with traffic congestion. It is a major pedestrian area causing a huge gridlock of traffic in and around the streets of Bay Street and with the construction of an additional 9-storey development under way in Princess Street, the whole area will be bedlam. Enough is enough.
