Stop the Bloodshed in Gaza

A humanitarian disaster in Gaza has been unfolding before the eyes of the world.

The EU cannot remain inactive.

It has to respond to the mounting public opinion demanding an end to this tragedy.

It has to abide by its own legislation.

We call on the European Parliament, Council and Commission to act urgently:

- for an immediate cease-fire;

- to secure access to humanitarian aid and urgent medical supplies for the people of the Gaza Strip;

- to take actions ensuring Israel respects international human rights and humanitarian law as stipulated by Article 2 of the EU-Israel Association Agreement;

- to proceed to freezing the EU-Israel Association Agreement as long as Israel continues violating international human rights and humanitarian law, including the blockade of the Gaza Strip, the continuation of settlement construction in the occupied Palestinian territory, and all actions that destroy the viability of a two-state solution.

We demand all EU member-states implement the 19th July 2013 Guidelines on the eligibility of Israeli entities and their activities in the territories occupied by Israel since June 1967 for grants, prizes and financial instruments funded by the EU from 2014 onwards, by banning the import to the EU of Israeli products produced in the illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories.

Please stop the war in Gaza. Women, children and civilians are not terrorists. Israel claims that Hamas are using people as human shields, if thats the case, and Israel are aware of this, then why do they keep bombing innocent people, if Hamas are using people as human shields? Horrifying, wrong, and justice needs to be sought for the lives of the innocent, and people guilty of murder to be brought to justice for war crimes.

Enough is enough. The images coming out of Gaza are absolutely heartbreaking and the world is failing these children by just watching. Stop the bombing now!

Why is the EU still trading like nothing is happening? Freeze the agreement and stop funding this destruction. Sanctions are the only way to get them to listen.

Palestine is sitting on billions worth of natural gas. Israel is short on this and wants to build a pipe from gaza underground to israel to supply their ppl with this. But when in 2006 Hamas got voted in they knew they had no chance. So now they are using ANY excuse to rid Hamas and Palestinian people in the process in order to get this gas. Human shields, stones, rockets , bla bla bla all the same Israeli rhetoric it's not about israels safety, because they're not safe, it's about gas & money.

The ongoing slaughter -yet again- of defenceless civilians in Palestians is utterly reprehensible and shocking. Not only this but the people of Gaza have been subjected to a punitive have been subjected to a punitive blockade for 10 years, confining them to an open prison, a grave breach of international humanitarian law, along with settlement building on their territory that is illegal according to the UN, which called it "creeping annexation" of Palestinian territory, and is in violation of their human rights. It is a stain on the world that this collective punishment of the Palestinians and especially the population of Gaza has Been allowed to go on for so long without any action being taken to bring its perpetrator, Israel, to account. It makes a mockery of "EU values" To continue business as usual with Israel. EU values must be upheld. The EU must be an honest broker - why no sanctions against Israel while the EU has proved very active in sanctioning other states, such as Russia? One essential way is through the EU- Israel Association Agreement, where Israel is in clear breach of Article 2 on respect for human rights and democracy. Israel must be held accountable. Paradoxically, the EU and international community might prove to be a better friend to Israel in demanding its adherance to human rights, democracy and the rule of law, and sanctioning non-compliance.
