We the undersigned condemn the illegal Invasion, Occupation of Gaza and the murderous campaign against Palestinian people. The present campaign has been visited on an innocent civilian population in the Gaza strip, without mercy and any humane thought to the thousands who are suffering, death and serious injury in what Palestinians believe is the largest prison in the world. Israel decides who stays and who can leave; who lives and who must die. They decide that aid, medicines and food cannot enter. They decide that the minimum conditions for civilized society is denied for the ordinary people in Gaza, and this is acceptable. We in Ireland understand that to resolve political questions need to be eventually resolved through discussion and mutual respect. We call on the immediate cessation of hostilities and leave the Palestinians in peace.

I am currently coordinating with legal advocates to draft a formal submission for the Department of Foreign Affairs. We are monitoring the official government response to current diplomatic pressure and will provide a briefing on their position shortly.

The scale of this response confirms the necessity of our formal submission to the Department of Foreign Affairs. We are now finalizing the briefing document to ensure our demands are clearly understood during the upcoming parliamentary session.

Enough is enough. The images coming out of Gaza are absolute horror and our government needs to stop being so spineless about it.

What Israel is doing is by definition terrorism. And the U.S is backing them. Well I'm not backing the U.S.
