Stop the bbc sending out the wrong message to breed bulldogs!!

Poor story writing promoting irresponsible dog ownership

This will not help promote responsible dog breeding

I am appalled at this storyline there has been no thought given to the consequences of this storyline. Informing viewers of the value of breeding from a bulldog and making cash from the breed so sending out the wrong message completely. The bulldog keeps being given a negative reputation which is incorrect when breeders like myself take the time and make every effort to produce only healthy bulldogs!!! This needs to stop immediately! !!

This is inappropriate for a soap. Even more so as the BBC stopped covering crufts in part because of

breeding bulldogs is not easy and should be left to those who know what they are doing and should never be bred for profit

I personally do not watch television but was shocked by what I have hears of the storyline about the bulldog in Eastenders. I spend most of my free time fundraising for Bulldog rescue and rehoming uk and the Edward foundation , two charity organisations that pick up the pieces after irresponsible breeding ,your storyline is soooooo wrong!

Don't breed bulldogs for profit!! It will send out the wrong msg to inexperienced people.

Bull breeds are getting a slating in the press, they don't need this as well. TV writers and producers need to take more responsibility. It's all very well saying it's fiction but we all know there are people out there whoa re very easily influenced

this will encourage copy cat breeding yet 1000s of dogs sit in rescue and are kiled in the UK as unwanted. Plu Bulldogs can't breed normally any more so I hope the need for a very expensive c-section is also covered in the story making sure the family have had to pay out way more saving the life of their dog than money made from breeding her

I live in Wales and there are already far too many people breeding to make money round here,the rescues are enormously busy as the puppy farm Mums are abandoned when past their best breeding years ( sometimes kept breeding till 8 years upwards ! ) or given to the rescues ( the best that can be hoped for these poor dogs ),anyone breeding for money is unlikely to be particularly careful where the puppies end up so loads of those will probably end up abandoned/in rescues because the new owners decide they can't cope with a puppy or the puppy is past its 'cute' stage.Surely a better story line would be to push neutering because otherwise dogs can get into unwanted pup that then are difficult to home,not pushing the money side of it pup

Disgusting story line, seriously how can the BBC get away with this? I can see 'scum' using this idea. Has anyone thought at the BBC that female Bulldogs will be targeted by theives and then used to breed over and over again before the poor little babe is thrown to one side to make room for next. It doesn't matter if the programme decide to let Princess Di get impregnated by a stray/cross breed it will still end the same way, non knowledgable idiots trying to make money from a beautiful breed. Truly disgusted

Disgusting you really need to take alook at all the bull breeds in kennels been pts daily ..... Bulldogs have so many complications to breed n c section get a grip on the real world not promote pet pedlars .....

there are enough dog peddlers cashing in while adding to the dog overpopulation so why is the bbc glorifying such a selfish action? Bulldogs are a deformed breed as it is so don't encourage more. ppl who breed during this pet crisis should be educated not given more ideas. shame on bbc, I don't spend my days trying to stop this for u to use MY money for such a greedy, cruel story line.

this is a living breathing animal not a sodding cash machine

if they're going to go ahead with this storyline then they should make it realistic and show the bitch being rushed for an emergency c-section, losing the puppies and possibly dying herself - harsh? yes, but sadly it happens with this breed due to their pelvis being too small for the size of pups heads. People need to be made aware of the difficulties this breed has in giving birth naturally
